Our Mission Duvall Homes exists for the benefit of individuals with developmental disabilities who require extensive services and care, and seeks to provide the highest quality of life and greatest level of independence for each resident by creating an individualized plan that includes opportunities for personal growth. Licensed by Florida’s Agency for Persons with Disabilities, Duvall Homes, Inc. is a Florida nonprofit 501(c)3 Corporation employing approximately 70 trained and certified professionals, with an average of 10+ years experience, who provide quality residential care and day training for people with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome and a broad range of other disabilities.

Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Current Open Shifts 2nd and 3rd Shift

Job Description Assists residents with personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, transferring and/or ambulating. Assures residents basic needs are met. Provides nurturing environment with intensive supervision. Utilizes behavior management techniques appropriately. Models respectful interactions and communication with residents. Maintains professional communication with team members through written and verbal reporting to facilitate shift changes. Completes all residents reports, plans and records in a timely manner in accordance with program procedures and funding standards. Communicates medical needs and concerns with nursing staff. Complies with all agency policies and procedures. Attends and completes all recommended scheduled training.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of verifiable experience in direct client care
  • Valid Florida driver’s license
  • Minimum age 21 years
  • Level II FBI Fingerprint Background & Drug Screening
  • County Background Check
  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds

Adult Day Training (ADT) Support Specialist

Current Open Shifts 1shift, Monday through Friday, 32 hours

Job Description Performs various activities necessary in caring for the individual needs, safety and education of the residents. Complies with all agency policies and procedures. Attends all training’s/in-services assigned. Maintains accurate and timely data and records as assigned. Maintain observation and engagement in a quality and safe level of care for residents in area assigned. Ascertain the residents’ needs through body interpretation, file data and/or vocal communication. Conducts training such as self care, personal advancement and daily living skills. Communicates medical needs and concerns with nursing staff and administer medication in accordance with procedures and as the situation dictates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of verifiable experience in direct client care, adult day training center or educational setting w/ hygiene care
  • Valid Florida driver’s license
  • Minimum age 21 years
