A Letter of Thanks

December 31, 2020 – Dear Friends, as we close out a dramatic and unprecedented year, we would like to thank all those who offered their help with exceptional generosity during these exceptionally trying times.

In spite of the challenges the pandemic continues to present, your faithful support has lifted us up in so many ways. Your confidence in the work we do has inspired us through these most difficult times and we are deeply grateful. Without your kindness and understanding, our work would be all the more difficult.

Times remain tenuous, yet as we face the unknown, we look to 2021 and a New Year, filled with hope and continued dedication to the mission that has sustained Duvall Homes for seventy-five years.

Our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the families and friends, individuals and church groups, corporate and private foundations and businesses that have enabled us to continue to serve the individuals in our care.

On behalf of everyone at Duvall Homes, please accept our humble thanks for all you do to make life better for others!

The work of art here was created by a participant in Duvall Homes’ adult day training program, offered at the Opportunities Enrichment Center. Acrylic, c. 2019.

Mother’s Day & Bulletin Boards

May 12, 2019 – Happy Mother’s Day from all staff, residents, and day training participants at Duvall’s Opportunities Enrichment Center.

There are more than a half dozen large bulletin boards at Day Training and a full dozen classroom doors, which are blank canvases that transition into colorful masterpieces during various holidays and special events throughout the year. Our ADT Support Specialists take advantage of these blank canvases by researching meaningful visuals and messages to create inspiring works of art with participants and, for that, we’re thankful!

Inspiring Quilt of Independence

July 7, 2017 – A symbol of independence and empowerment: ADT Support Coordinator Beth Conrad, a Duvall Homes’ employee of more than 20 years, recently completed an inspiring quilt that began as a labor of love in 2015, on her own time. The quilt depicts various hand patterns of approximately 90 residents and participants of Duvall’s Opportunities Enrichment Center. The sentimental work of art currently hangs in the Adult Day Training facility in Glenwood, Florida.
